The NAMI HelpLine is a free, nationwide peer support service providing information, resource referrals and support to individuals living with a mental health condition(s), as well as families and caregivers.

Locally, the Alamo Area Resource Center (AARC) was founded in 1990 to assist in meeting the needs of individuals who are homeless, disabled or facing life challenging illnesses, including but not limited to HIV/AIDS in Bexar County and surrounding areas.

The Veterans Crisis Line is a free, anonymous, confidential resource that’s available to anyone, even if you’re not registered with VA or enrolled in VA health care. The Veterans Crisis Line is also available by text 838-255 or online chat.  Support for deaf and hard of hearing can call 800-799-4889.

If anybody is experiencing domestic violence or seeking more information, please contact the National Domestic Violence Hotline 24/7 at 800-799-7233 (SAFE). You will be connected with trained expert advocates providing confidential support. Help is also available in Spanish and other languages.
